Legendary Sachin Tendulkar retires from ODI Cricket

Sachin Tendulkar with shades

Everybody knew this was coming but no one knew when.Sachin Tendulkar has retired from the one day internationals. The announcement came today morning.Today is a very emotional day for the cricket fans from around the world especially Indians as we bid adieu to the best in the world.Sachin Tendulkar is known for how humble and calm he is even when the bowlers are aggressive towards him.He earned a lot of respect from around the world and achieved which not many can even dream of coming close to.I am sure most of the cricket fans might be thinking it would have been  nice if he could have retired after Pakistan ODI tournament but if we look at it from the other side we would not want him to retire after that either. He was one short of his 50th century in ODI'S before he retired which matters very less considering much he has achieved in comparison to others around the world. It feels like the end of an era after Rahul Dravid,VVS Laxman and now Sachin Tendulkar retiring. The little master said the following while he announced his retirement.

"I have decided to retire from the One Day format of the game," he said in a statement. "I feel blessed to have fulfilled the dream of being part of a World Cup winning Indian team. The preparatory process to defend the World Cup in 2015 should begin early and in right earnest. I would like to wish the team all the very best for the future. I am eternally grateful to all my well wishers for their unconditional support and love over the years."
