With 09:48 minutes left on the clock in the fourth quarter New York led Boston by 26 Points which meant they had a 75-49 margin.approximately 2:42 minutes later the Knicks led by Seven points which ended up putting a lot of pressure on the Celtics who were hoping to negate the lead as soon as possible.
Boston did managed to narrow down the lead to four points at 77-73 thanks to Avery Bradley and a pair of Jeff Green's free throws but that was not good enough for them to pull the match in their favor as New York achieved most of their scoring points within the final five minutes with Carmelo Anthony being one of their best highlights as he managed a score of 7 of his 21 points during the final stretch and J.R Smith who converted a basket to push their lead back to double digits with just over a minute remaining.
Apart from Anthony and Smith the other performers from the Knicks were Iman Shumpert who managed to score 17 points and Tyson Chandler who managed 9 points and 12 Rebounds.Celtics scored very less during the start which ended up being their downfall during the game as they had managed only 10 points during the first quarter and 27 in the first half as they ended with under 50 points before the first quarter.
